RecordMyRide is built by AdVenture Designs, the small South African team also behind EmergiTag, the QR/NFC medical alert wearable platform, and Queue4You, a national vehicle licensing franchise system.

Across those products we kept running into the same small tax-season problem: claiming a travel allowance means keeping a logbook, and keeping a logbook by hand is the kind of task that’s easy to mean to do and easy to fall behind on. A year of business trips reconstructed from memory in March isn’t a logbook — it’s a guess with dates on it.

RecordMyRide exists so that guess never has to happen. It watches your GPS, asks one question when you arrive, and keeps the record SARS actually asks for — all year, without you having to remember to do anything.
